About Mike

Mike Best is a PMP certified project manager, production manager, and technical director originally from New Jersey. With production roots in high school drama club, he holds a BA in Theatre and Environmental Policy from Colorado College and an MFA in Technical Design and Production from Yale School of Drama. He has worked in various fields including custom fabrication, exhibits and installations, night-clubs, live events and experiences, and staged performances of all genres. He has enjoyed teaching and working alongside nearly every age-range of artists over the years and has worked with professional companies up and down the east coast - from Miami City Ballet to Dorset Theater Festival in Vermont.

Based in New York City, Mike is currently a production manager at The Public Theater. He has long been inspired by professional artists and young minds alike who push boundaries and bring audiences closer together. He is always interested in undertaking exciting challenges and new types of projects.
